Sarong Arty Sardy
Description
Take your sarong down to the beach or out to the pool, wrap yourself in it, lay on it, wrap your baby in it, lay it on your bed. Whatever you do, keep it colourful with the Arty Sardy Sarong.
Our sarongs are crafted from 100% Tencel fabric and are printed with Jaz's paintings. This iconic Sardine print is inspired by Jaz’s time living in Portugal as a young child. On market days, her parents would leave Jaz and her brother in the kitchen of a now famous peri-peri chicken restaurant while they bought the weeks food. The yayas who ran the kitchen gave her potatoes to peel, she’d sit on a little stool chatting to her brother and taking in the smells from the charcoal grill. The only smell better than their famous charcoal chicken was when the fishermen would drop off fresh caught sardines, but when they arrived, they didn’t last long as all the regulars would clamour to get their orders in.
Each sarong measures 140cm X 110cm and is digitally printed on 100% tencel using biodegradable water based inks saving over 60L of water per metre of fabric compared to conventional fabric printing. No waste water or pollution was created in this printing process. As these inks are biodegradable, colours may fade over time. To keep them looking bright and new please hand wash and rinse in cold water, avoiding tumble dryers.
